Special Training Program for Kenya Officers from Department of Housing and Urban Development

In February 2018, CRDF commenced a 15-day specialized training program for Officers of the Department for Housing and Urban Development, Kenya.  The workshop training program focused on ‘‘Innovations in Urban Planning and Housing’ and was organized in collaboration with the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation Programme (ITEC), and administered by the Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India.  The objective of the training program was to share experiences from India and especially the Gujarat state, related to innovative practices in Urban Planning and Housing including enabling and provisioning mechanisms by the State Government.

Participants appreciated the training offered by CRDF for its quality and effective guidance. Department for Housing and Urban Development, Kenya appreciated the training provided to its officers and sent more senior officials to visit and understand the implemented Affordable Housing Scheme.
