CHC conducts a 4-day workshop on 3D LiDAR scanning for heritage documentation

The Center for Heritage Conservation (CHC) organized a 4-day workshop in association with Shayona Management Services, a LiDAR scanning and Building Information Modelling specialist.  The workshop on 'Use of 3D LiDAR Scanning Technology for Documentation of Historic Buildings’ happened at the Conservation Site School, Tankshal ni Pol Masjid, Ahmedabad.  Following COVID-19 protocols, 20 participants from diverse backgrounds such as architecture, engineering, geomatics were introduced to the technology, data capturing and data processing methods.  CHC team focused on the theoretical and philosophical aspects of the documentation ethics, while the Shayona team conducted technical aspects of scanning processes.
