CHC

Center for Heritage Conservation (CHC), CEPT Research and Development Foundation (CRDF) and M.M.K.B. Trust have signed a M.O.U. for the CEPT Conservation site school in Nagarkhana, Darbargarh, Bhuj, in Kutch, Gujarat.

The Foundation Studio, Master’s in Architectural History and Research, and Masters in Conservation and Regeneration, Faculty of Architecture, CEPT University, visited Bhuj and started the semester exercise at the conservation site school.

At the end of six months of a rigorous research study, an exhibition was organized at Pragmahal, Darbargadh, Bhuj on 14 & 15 November 2022. The exhibition was inaugurated by H.H. Maharani Saheb Pritidevi of Kutch who was accompanied by family members of the royal family and dignitaries from Kutch and beyond.

Under the mentorship of Prof. Jigna Desai and Prof. Gauri Bharat from CEPT University, students from the Masters in Conservation and Regeneration as well as Masters in Architectural History and Research, Faculty of Architecture displayed their first semester work to the citizens of Kutch and had an in-depth discussion regarding the study as well as received valuable feedback from the stakeholders, communities, and citizens.
