Getty, INTACH and CEPT jointly conducted the in-person component of the training course ‘Modern Architecture Conservation in India – 2025’ from 17th to 21st February 2025 at CEPT University, Ahmedabad. The opening event of the course was held on 16th February 2025. The component in Ahmedabad was curated, planned and executed by the teams from Getty, INTACH and CEPT. From the CEPT team, Center for Heritage Conservation (CHC) at CEPT Research and Development Foundation (CRDF) was the focal point for content curation and planning.

21 mid-career professionals participated in the in-person training. The week-long immersive learning experience at CEPT University consisted of lectures, site visits, exercises, and hands-on demonstrations at the CEPT laboratory. Resource people ranged from CEPT academic staff, local and national practitioners, and international experts from Getty.

These activities and discussions, built on the concepts explored during the 4-week online component of the course (conducted by Getty and INTACH), allowed participants to network, learn from each other and build a community of practice.
