2024- Ongoing
Advisory Projects
CUPP
Following the initial preparation of the Gram Panchayat Spatial Development Plans (GPSDP) for Nandasan and Tarapur in 2020, CEPT University has been entrusted with the task of further enhancing these plans. With new programs introduced by the Ministry of Panchayat Raj (MoPR), CUPP is once again refining the GPSDPs to align with the evolving needs of the villages. The Enhanced GPSDP aims to transform these Panchayats into models of sustainable development, financial resilience, and improved quality of life for residents.
The revised GPSDP will be more detailed yet simplified, making it easily understandable and adoptable by Panchayats and stakeholders. It will feature better strategies for the phased implementation of services, a modular and practical approach to execution, and alignment with ongoing MoPR programs and agendas. Ultimately, it will serve as a stepping stone for Panchayats in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
The final report will follow a proper set of approaches and methodology from the GPSDP guidelines. The first process will involve the development of a clear and shared vision of the strategies of the Panchayat. The Policy and Technical Committees, Working Groups, and the community will have a crucial role in developing the vision of the GPSDP. This will entail information from the inception report, focus group discussion, and findings from the NOISE analysis. It will highlight the leadership’s key concerns, including sustainable development, resource management, and socio-economic enhancement following the SDGs.
