Contracts are key to the success of any project. Poorly drafted tender documents lead to misinterpretation and disputes. Several performance issues related to time, cost, safety, quality etc. can be linked to the way bid documents are prepared, contractors are selected, and contracts are administered.
This two-day workshop on Procurement – Types and Processes dealt with the elements of the contract, Indian Contract Act, and components of bid documents. The second dayMajor part of the module focused on drafting terms of reference, preparation of RFP, selection criteria and evaluation of bids received for consultants. The workshop was concluded with bid process management for the selection of the right contractors.
